Saturdays Game was very satisfying  as we had to answer some  question from a vibrant Hawks team that perhaps have not been asked of us in our previous  3 games. The biggest influence on the first half was the ref and how he was shaping the game through an interpretation of the laws that was lets  just say , new to us.

All was put right in a very satisfying second half that  contained relentless attacking play from our back three and some big hits all round. Its was good to see James Head back after injury and Angus Runciman(Goose) continue his good form, he gets better every week. Its truly a 20 man team now , every individual plays a full part in the match . Its not an easy squad to break into but if it was any other way we simply would not be nearly  as strong a club.  Make no mistake its difficult to keep everyone happy all of the time but its far more rewarding to earn a place in a strong side than be given a place in a weaker one.

25 tries in the first 4 games is a decent return so far , but as i keep saying its way to early to get excited. However there's no doubt we can always be better and that's the aim. Its not about trying to prove we are a good side its about continually working hard to improve and therefore become better.. A number of other teams seem to have a week of things not going to plan and then they bounce back as Ayr most certainly did against  this weeks opponents Currie .

This promises to be another entertaining match as they are similar to Hawks in so much as they look to play attacking rugby. They have their own ambitions and will not want to lose ground on us.

The Storm are back to the top of their League with a hard fought victory and there are a number of guys just waiting to get their chance.  Its a long season 7 months to go so lets just keep working away and see where we end up.

For those who are interested in the proposed Super 6. Applications will be ready in November and like everyone else we will look at the proposal very carefully. The main objective of "Agenda 3"is to create an Amateur game where all clubs/Team outwith the Super 6 competition will be amateur.  There will no doubt be lots to think about and to discus as the months go by.
