THE OUTSTANDING RUN CONTINUES
23 Oct 2017
Believe it or not we were not at our best on Saturday but we can have no complaints in gaining another bonus point win.. Its probably now safe to say we wont be relegated, 40 points in 8 games, that's pretty special. Its also safe to say it does not guarantee winning anything either, its just very pleasing to watch the style of rugby on show. We picked up a couple of injuries this week , with James Head having pulled out in the warm up and Russell Anderson taking a knock, both will be assessed as Saturday approaches.
The Storm had a incredible 45-0 win also at Heriot's so it may be that some will be rewarded in the coming weeks as injuries occur and perhaps some players become unavailable on occasions . Hawick arrive this week desperate for a win and they i'm sure would love it to be at the Greenyards. We would expect nothing else. and will prepare accordingly.
We are playing with a mature confidence that is based on both respect and understanding of our oppositions strengths whilst believing in our own strengths and understanding what to do when given the opportunity. Its been along time since i have seen us be so clinical. However no one will fight harder than Hawick, they have good players and a new coach and will require absolutely no encouragement to make life as difficult as possible for us. It will be a different type of test this week and one well worth coming to see.
We expect a good crowd and a good atmosphere so make sure you dont miss it.
