RUGBY AND FOOTBALL CLUBS JOIN FORCES IN MELROSE
Melrose Rugby and Melrose Football Clubs have joined forces to strengthen their relationships with one-an-other by way of sportswear.
Through the change in Melrose Rugby sportswear supplier to Italian manufacture, Macron, Melrose Football Club will benefit by buying sportwear through the Melrose Rugby office.
The partnership is a great example of how Melrose Community Sport (MCS) clubs can work together. The football club will also benefit as they will be able to use the changing facilities at the club when available. With plans such as the 1883 Legacy Project, and a 4G pitch, still in the pipe-line for Melrose Rugby its just the first step in bringing sports clubs together to use the facilities on The Greenyards.
Melrose RFC Director of Rugby, Mike Dalgetty, is excited by the prospect of The Greenyards becoming a hub for all community sport, he said; “Melrose Rugby is delighted to join with Melrose Football Club by both using the excellent Macron sportswear.
He continued: “As we work towards having a 4G pitch for the use of the community, every opportunity to work together is a massive step towards creating a strong development hub for all sports in our area”
We look forward to strengthen our relationship with Melrose Football Club and other sports clubs in our area.
