Organisation of this year’s Gala Sevens was put in disarray by the late withdrawal, for whatever reason, of Selkirk from Pool “A” and Currie from Poll “D” meaning that the two remaining teams in these Pools had to play each other twice with the team with the better aggregate score advancing to the Semi-finals.
