WEEKLY BULLETIN
31/1/2024
Evening Folks!
Well, what a blustery day it has been in Melrose – I bet the players are pleased they’re not training tonight!
Saturday was a busy day of Rugby with U16 & U18 Wasps playing away & the 1XV at home to Dundee. The day started very well for the U16s who were away to North Berwick and came away with a strong 33 : 19 win. Next up was the U18 Wasps who welcomed Alnwick to the Greenyards, They too came away with a win – 26 : 12 to the Wasps. Well done Wasps!
3pm saw the 1XV take to the pitch, not the best day unfortunately – a 26 : 38 loss to Dundee. To read Iain’s match report – CLICK HERE
This week see’s the 1XV travel up to Edinburgh to take on Watsonians – all the best to them. The U18’s are at home with a 2pm kick off against Tynedale.

Rugby Memory Boxes for Dementia Patients
We’ve had a letter from a Dementia Nurse at ward 14 at the BGH. Emma is currently making up some memory boxes for her patients and would like to make up some rugby memory boxes. She’s looking for photos of times gone by, probably 50’s – 90’s. We have lots of info at the club, what we’re short of is time to go through it all. So, if any of you have some time and fancy a bit of a project, please get in touch and we can come up with ideas on how to help. Just email Hilary at office@melroserugby.org
That’s all for now!
Warm wishes
Hilary
