Six Nations Tickets

The Six Nations Home tickets are in the process of being allocated to you, so you should be receiving an email from Scottish Rugby in the next couple of days about paying for them. If you don’t already have an account please follow the instructions HERE, which will help you set one up, for those of you who do have an account but have forgotten how to get in CLICK HERE!

All tickets will become available on the Scottish Rugby Ticket app, around 1-2 weeks before the match. If you decide you don’t want your tickets, please reject them as soon as possible. You have until the 21st October to pay for them – if you have not paid by then, Scottish Rugby will reclaim them.

The Away ticket application deadline is tonight – I’ll be submitting our order to Scottish Rugby tomorrow!

New Players to the Club

We welcomed two new arrivals at the club last week – A big Melrose welcome to Declan Mulcahy & Corey Goldsbrough who both turned out for the club on Saturday. The boys have joined us from Southern Districts Rugby in Sydney where they met former Melrose player Gav Wood who obviously spoke so highly of Melrose, he persuaded the boys to head for Scotland!

Ned Haig Bar

We were delighted to ‘Cut the ribbon’ on the refreshed Ned Haig Bar on Saturday, a big THANK YOU to Jim Telfer who came down and did the honours! Thanks also to the players, who sponsored Saturday’s pies which meant whoever wanted one, got a free pie till they ran out! Rob Moffat was an excellent ‘pie pusher’

Jim Telfer cutting the 'ribbon'!

 Tuck Shop

If you were down at the Greenyards on Saturday you will have seen our new, youth run ‘Tuck Shop’! The kids worked really hard and had a successful day. The Tuck Shop will be running at every home game, so if you’re in need of a sweet treat, you know where to head!

Ladies Day

There is still time to get your tickets for Ladies Day which is next Saturday, 28th September. To secure your spot & purchase tickets CLICK HERE or pop into the office.

Can you offer a lift to Musselburgh?

One of our members is looking for a lift to Musselburgh on Saturday – so if you’re thinking of driving up & have room in your car, he’d be most grateful for a lift. Give the office a call on 01896 822993 or email office@melroserugby.org & we’ll put you in touch.

And finally….

We are making the minutes of the club board meetings available to members, if you would like to receive August’s notes, please email office@melroserugby.org & I’ll send you the PDF. I’ll let you know when September’s notes are available.

That’s it for this week! Very best of luck to all our teams playing this weekend!

Warm wishes

Hilary
