Melrose Rugby Bulletin 23/5/24

Hope everyone has had a good week! Seems funny to be heading into a weekend with no sevens of the horizon! We certainly ended the Kings of the 7s on a high note! We might not have won the whole tournament, but we came second with a great run and the final win of the season at Jed at the weekend. It was a repeat of last year – a sunny evening and a Jed v Melrose final! A 19 -12 win to us to end the season! Well done to all the team, including manager, coaches, support staff, lucky charms, and finally….our much-loved physio Ailsa. Thanks for all your hard work, Ailsa and have a brilliant time on your travels and enjoy New Zealand! We look forward to welcoming you back sometime in the (hopefully not too distant) future!

There is still a bit of rugby being played around the club - the Knights head off to play Heriots on Saturday – kick off for them is 3pm. I’m sure they’d appreciate a bit of support on the road!

We’ve got a big night planned for the Knights final scheduled home game against the Stirling Wolves next Friday 31st May!

Depending on the play-offs, it could be the last chance to see the Knights at the Greenyards…

Pre-match hospitality

Hospitality will open from 5:30pm, with a pre-match meal being served before the game versus the Stirling Wolves kicks-off.

There will also be a mixed-ability rugby match featuring the Borders Clan taking place at 5:45pm on the Greenyards beforehand!
